Gradebomb.com
February 18, 2012

The elite UK think-tank, The Royal Society, which has openly admitted to studying how to play God with the climate, has kicked off a new program that reveals another level of control entirely: the human brain.

The Brain Waves project is divided into four modules, each tasked with studying the impact of developments in the field of neuroscience and neurotechnology. The titles of the modules reflect the areas of examination:

Module 1: Society and policy

Module 2: Implications for education and lifelong learning

Module 3: Conflict and security

Module 4: Responsibility and the law The results from these modules have been published, and clearly illustrate how this panel views the lower public masses in light of their status as the elite arbiters of human destiny. We often hear from critics that these think-tanks are an essential part of scientific discovery, and that drawing conclusions of a nefarious nature about their intent is paranoid conspiracy theory — they are only thinking, after all. I would submit that objective scientific inquiry is absolutely necessary and that the proper role of science is to disseminate results to the public for open debate, prior to their implementation. However, think-tanks such as the Royal Society betray, by their own language, subjective biases (and corporate connections) that have no place in true science.Full article at Activist Post

Whether you live on or off campus, are here for the summer, or are living in faculty housing, you will find yourself living “in and of” New York City. Manhattan’s vibrant Greenwich Village neighborhood is home to many of NYU’s campus buildings.

Students and faculty find housing in this community as well as its surrounding neighborhoods, boroughs and the greater New York City area. Whether you’re a new student applying to live in one of the University’s residence halls or are looking for assistance in your off-campus apartment search, NYU has services and offices to simplify the New York City housing process.

The new Office of Residential Life and Housing Services has information about the University’s residence halls, including how to apply for on-campus housing and student life in the halls.

For students working, interning or taking classes in New York City for the summer, the Office of Summer Housing and the Summer Living in New York Program at the NYU School of Law have information about living in an NYU residence hall during the summer months.

Students and faculty overwhelmed by the New York City apartment search have a great resource in the Off-Campus Housing Office, which even provides a Housing Registry available through NYU Home.

The NYU Faculty Housing and Residential Services Office supports University faculty with housing options and assistance. Navigate this page to learn more about the housing services that the University provides for its students, faculty and community.

The Department of Residence Services at the School of Law has information about on-campus housing for Law students, including how to apply and access to the applications, green living initiatives, services provided, and the social, cultural and educational activities offered to residents.

The New York University Department of Public Safety exists to mantain and promote a safe and secure campus environment in a manner that is minimally intrusive to the students, faculty, staff and visitors of the university.
